Little Guy Love

Guys - I’m smitten.  I can’t handle the love I have for my son.  Seriously, he melts me and I’m soooooo happy that he’s such a momma’s boy.  He’s been the sweetest little guy lately, running up to me giving me hugs and kisses non-stop, wanting to cuddle.  It’s just the best having a little man.  Ok - just had to get that out.  HA!

I’ve been having fun picking out some of William’s spring wardrobe.  One small complaint that I have about dressing a little boy is that there doesn’t seem to be as many options as there are for girls.  Anyone else feel me?  I was warned about this when we found out that we were having a boy and I didn’t really believe it until now.  We were looking at the Joe Fresh line in Superstore and I literally had to ask the sales lady where the baby boy section was.  She pointed me in the direction of one small isle beside a massive baby girl zone.  ?????  It seems to be that way in many shops.

Anyway, I always want to make sure Will has a few trendy cute little guy pieces cause let’s face it - Scarlet sure has enough and I know he doesn't care about that just yet - but I do.  Here are a few pick ups from Zara that I just adore.
Palm trees and sunglasses?   Oh heck yes.

So cheeky!  I'm soooooo using this as blackmail later in his life ;)

Happy Wednesday friends!

Twinning

It’s no secret that I like LOVE to get all cheesy and match my kids with our clothing (and sometimes even with my hair), so when I discovered the company StellaCove, I basically went bananas with the matchy match swimsuits because:

a) there is only a very small window of time that I’ll be able to keep this up before it starts getting weird.

b) Scarlet just gets so excited when we look alike - Will is indifferent but that’s cool cause I can match him and he'll never care or know about it until he's in his teens (HELLO BLACKMAIL) and finally,

c) COME ON! We only live once and I die every time I get to look a little bit more like my offspring.  I think that it might even be a little unhealthy. haha.

However, I will say that the company has one of the nicest owners I have ever dealt with and their prices are very reasonable.  I was upset that we didn’t get to wear all of the matching suits that we had on this past vacation but that just means we’ll have to go again really soon before the kids and I don’t fit into them anymore.  (Cue tears about both of these facts and no I’m not pregnant)

Anywho, hope you enjoy these very fun matchy match pics.  Walking around the resort everyday we had and met new people everyday because they would just come up to us and ask where we found the cute suits.  People love this stuff I’m telling you!

Hope everyone had a lovely Hump Day!  Is it the middle of the week already?  YIKES!

Love Day Project

I've always felt a little indifferent about Valentine's Day to be honest.  I hate to admit it, but I guess it had to do with whether or not I was single at the time (way wayyyyyy back before I was married), as well as the whole commercial 'business' of having to buy things for loved ones in order to show them how much you love them.  That didn't always sit well me.  But, I usually did - and still do - purchase a few chocolate treats, maybe a stuffed animal or two and a small gift for Nate.

But last year, I saw the sweetest idea about writing love notes to your little ones each year on Valentines day.   This momma (of four) has done it every year since her children were born and has kept each of the letters for them to read when they get older.  I basically tear up even as I write out this post because I think that has to be one of the most beautiful ideas.

So, I started this tradition.  I will write both Scarlet and William and any other baby that comes along (not pregnant FYI), little love letters and they will also write their own to the other members of the family.  Here they both are, working on their little project which just absolutely pulls at my heart strings.   I know Scarlet is concentrating EXTRA hard when her tongue gets shaped into a little rosebud.  HA!
At this point, William decided he was done with the homemade Valentines, so he practiced walking around the family room while Scarlet continued on...

Very proud of herself

Then we got into a little bit of chocolate... (she only had two).

haha - just loving life here.

A little chocolate O.D I think...

Then we talked about how when two people are in love they can share a kiss!  She though it was hilarious and then started to kiss her wrist!!!  #helpme

Have a lovely day friends and happy Friday!!!
