I want Scarlet to grow up with the post title notion ingrained in her head, so I sent her outside to go and finish building the deck with Daddy yesterday morning.
Way too often (especially when I taught high school) I noticed females shying away from activities because typically they were ‘male’ oriented. BRUTAL! I want Scar to learn you can be absolutely anything you want to be - a girly girl, a tomboy, a literary historian, a brain scientist; but just know and understand that anything a boy can do, you can do too. Math, politics, construction work, taking out the garbage, firefighting, ANYTHING! If you’re determined and want to, get on it girl! No limitations.
