Mornings and Sunsets

Every morning William would pick flowers and give them to either Scarlet or I.  It was honestly so adorable.  This is his 'smelling' face.

This is Will during another morning flower session giving me his picked flower.  Heart exploding adorable.

Morning moments
If you’re like me, you’re not usually an early riser, but something about introducing the day by watching the sun rise over the ocean and listening to the soft rolling waves (all whilst holding a hot coffee in your hand) was so appealing to me over this past trip that I actually enjoyed 6:00am - and let’s be honest - the beauty of the balcony didn’t hurt either.  Here are a few moments from various mornings.  We have always brought quick cooking Oats with us for an easy breakfast and some coffee grounds just in case they aren’t provided in the condos or homes.

The next set of shots are from the sunset evenings which is arguably the most beautiful and colourful parts of the day.  The skies here in Nuevo Vallarta where every shade of pink, purple and peach that you could imagine.  Why are beach sunsets that much better?   Personally, I’m convinced it’s cause our souls see things more vibrantly when we’re happy.

Hope you all have a lovely day today friends

Our Do-over trip to Mexico

Here are the Coles notes of the full story:

We travelled to Mexico in March of this year and everyone got horribly sick (except for me).  Our vacation turned into a bit of a sickies show.  We returned to Canada, saw my doctor and she flat out looked me in the eye and said:

“Doctor’s orders, you need to have a do-over return vacation”.  Best Doc ever.

So we did!  We returned to a different part of the country called Nuevo Vallarta in the month of May and it was everything we could have hoped for.  We stayed at the Delcanto Resort which had the most incredible balcony view, very few people since it was the 'low' season, the weather was fabulous and the best part about the whole trip was that I didn’t hear anyone cough, sneeze, complain, blow their nose or moan in pain even ONCE!  Heavenly.  Here are a few pics.  Because I took over 2,000 in ten days (you think I'm kidding, I'm not kidding), I’ll be posting everyday this weekend both in the travel section and on the main page.  Hope you guys enjoy them!

Have a lovely weekend and see you again tomorrow for some more pics!

Le Papier Studio

I can’t describe the love I have for my babies.  I mean, I absolutely could try to describe it, but the attempt alone would be so pathetically understated in terms of how I actually felt that I’m certain I would read it back to myself and just shake my head over and over.  “Nope, that’s not right, not enough, there aren’t enough words in the English language, or rather, the words aren’t strong enough”.

Showing the love that I have for them is thankfully an easier way to express what I feel through kisses, hugs, secret whispers for them alone - all those lovely momma kiddo heartwarming moments.

One of the most beautiful ways of expressing my love that I have for my kids in a non-verbal are through these gorgeous laser cut charms that I wear around my neck, close to my heart.  Subtle and beautiful but an obvious statement to whoever I’m speaking to.  I love my children so very much that I need to have them near me always.

I cried when I received the ‘proof’ print of Scarlet and William’s profiles that would be transformed into these gorgeous charms and I was just astounded when the actual pieces arrived.  The blog shots that you see here do not give these little beauties justice.  They are even more stunning, shiny and detailed in reality.  The print of our family photo was another amazing surprise that I just can't stop staring at.  Vana is very talented as you can see.

As the owner states on her thank you cards:

“Vana is the safe keeper of a family’s memory and works with clients personally on each order to help evoke the magic of that moment forever”.

I would HIGHLY recommend her products as personal gifts.  Currently there is an 20% off offer if you use the code KWEILZ20 for anything on her site : Le Papier Studio
